1 września 2008 - Sibiu, Cimitir. Weteran z Genewy odstawiony na trójkącie torowym na początku linii podmiejskiej z Sibiu do Rasinari. Niestety, w pierwszy dzień szkoły mogliśmy sobie na niego tylko popatrzeć, bo nie wyglądał jakby ktoś go stąd ruszał. Według naklejonego na szybie rozkładu powinien akurat wracać z Rasinari. Cóż, jest tu po co wrócić.

29 września 2008 - Sibiu (RO) – Rasinari. Crossing a river on the approach to Rasinari village. If (as I fear) the tramway closes in a few weeks time, this will be a very sad loss. Like what happens in many places where tramways are then abolished, the bridge deck has just been renewed!

29 września 2008 - Sibiu, Romania - Calea Dumbravii: The Sibiu tram and trolleybus operations were amazing survivors, but would not last much longer when pictured outside the depot in 2008. The last two trolleybus routes, by now reduced to just one or two journeys each hour, went first and the depot yard was full of derelict vehicles. This left only the lovely interurban tramway line to the village of Rasinari, which had somehow kept going with only two serviceable trams running just a handful of trips each day. Everyone assumed that this would also close but (at the time of writing) the line can still be hired occasionally for charter trips, although there is now no regular public service. So against all the odds, a tram sometimes ventures along the overgrown and rickety track - long may it continue!

30 września 2008 - Sibiu, Romania. The Sibiu to Rasinari tramway runs along the side of a local road for most of its length and a parallel bus service takes much of the traffic. Here, tram 721 and trailer run gently (and empty) through pleasant woodland on a Rasinari-Sibiu trip. How long can this last?

30 września 2008 - Sibiu – Rasinari. Because the Subiu-Rasinari interurban has only three operational trams, it’s quite easy to identify them! Here, green 721 approaches the village on tracks laid along the grass verge.

30 września 2008 - Sibiu (RO) - Rasinari. Chwilę wcześniej widoczna na zdjęciu kobieta z dzieckiem jechała załadowanym wiejskim wozem wraz ze swoim mężem. Konie przestraszyły się tramwaju i zaczęły uciekać zupełnie bez kontroli. Mężczyzna został w środku (wiatr zwiał mu czapkę) i próbował za wszelką cenę powstrzymać zwierzęta. Gdy w końcu mu się to udało (prawie kilometr dalej), kobieta odmówiła dalszej jazdy z narowistymi końmi. Postanowiła pójść dalej pieszo razem z dzieckiem. Gdyby wóz wywrócił się, mielibyśmy do czynienia z wyjątkowo nieciekawym wypadkiem. Oglądaliśmy to z tramwaju, zastanawiając się, czy ktoś zginie.

30 września 2008 - Sibiu, Romania - Calea Dumbravii: Tram #721 and trailer on the access street track leading to the depot, now completely gone. I believe that the remaining trams are now kept in the open air, which can`t do much for their condition. Getting trams in and out of the depot yard was a difficult operation, as this road was busy and the trams had to run against the traffic.

24 kwietnia 2009 - Trasa pomiędzy Sibiu a Rasinari. "Tramvaj/2" (tak w rozkładzie oznaczana jest druga kolejność na jedynej linii tramwajowej w Sibiu) wykonuje ostatni kurs na pierwszej części "przerywanej". Po dojechaniu do Sibiu zjedzie do zajezdni. Tym samym w mieście przestaną kursować tramwaje, bowiem całodzienny "tramvaj/1" obsługiwany był tego dnia MAZem.
